Student Portfolio Award & Exhibition

for Gold Passport Holders

The Palm Beach Photographic Centre proudly announces the Jay Colton Memorial, FOTOfusion Student Portfolio Exhibition.

The exhibition is open to FOTOfusion GOLD Passport holders only, both amateur and professional. Palm Beach Photographic Centre invites photographers working in all mediums and styles to participate. Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome. Any photographers wishing to exhibit MUST register for their FOTOfusion GOLD Passport or their images will not be accepted.

DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES

Entries must be submitted no later than December 31, 2022.

A maximum of 10 images may be entered along with an artist's statement. Entries can be mailed to the photographic centre on CD/DVD, or uploaded to our website. (Link to upload page is below)

Students will be notified of acceptance by January 5, after which you will be required to submit 13x19 inch, unmounted, unframed prints of your selected images. These images must be sent to arrive at the Photographic Centre no later than January 17, 2023.

FOTOfusion presenters will vote for the best student portfolio. One winner will receive the Jay Colton Memorial Best FOTOfusion Student Portfolio Award.

Phase 2:

EXHIBITION PRINTS

Students will be notified of acceptance by January 5, 2023. Once your prints are accepted, you will be required to print your images on 13x19" paper and submit them unmounted and unframed with a copy of the artist's statement. The artist's statement should be in plain text, rich text, or Microsoft Word format on a CD.

The Juror's decision is final. No substitutions will be granted.

DELIVERY & PICK-UP

Original artwork accepted for exhibition must be delivered no later than 5:00 pm on January 17, 2023.

Prints may be picked up after the exhibition has ended, aproximately two months later. You will be notified of pick-up requirements when dates are available.

SHIPPING REQUIREMENTS

Accepted photographers are responsible for all shipping arrangements and expenses. Round-trip shipping expenses must be prepaid if you wish to have your prints returned. Those entries sent collect will not be accepted. Please allow time for shipment. Artwork must be packed in reusable packing, and all packing material must be sufficient for safe return.

INSURANCE

While caution will be exercised in the handling of accepted artwork, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre cannot assume liability for loss or damage caused by shipping or hand-delivery of artwork. It is the responsibility of the artist to provide adequate insurance coverage for their artwork.

AGREEMENT

The submission of works to this exhibition will constitute an agreement to all of the conditions in this prospectus. Please read the entire prospectus to familiarize yourself with the terms of agreement and important deadline information.

By entering the competition, the photographer grants the Palm Beach Photographic Centre permission to reproduce their artwork for publicity and/or educational purposes.
