An unusual opportunity to explore exciting, exotic, South Beach with an internationally recognized South Florida photographer. Marc’s pointers on documenting this colorful Miami Beach locale will give you a rare and unusual artistic opportunity to create special images.

Extraordinary Green Cay Wetlands & Nature Center with Steven Nestler

An extraordinary photographic opportunity, Green Cay’s 175 acres have 86 species of trees, shrubs, grasses and aquatic vegetation, designed to emulate the Everglades eco-system with an open expanse of marsh habitat, intermittent tree islands and cypress hammocks. Via 1.5 miles of boardwalk you will be able to photograph Great Blue herons, several Egret species, Anhinga, Least Bittern, and at least 30 or 40 other species. Otter, Alligator, Swamp Rabbits and a deer may also be seen. A tripod, a reasonably long lens, a macro lens and lots of film/flashcards are recommended.

Flash Close-ups at the “Unbelievable Acres” with John J. Lopinot

Distinguished nature photographer John J. Lopinot will guide you through this 2-acre rain forest in the middle of Palm Beach County and teach you the special techniques of close-ups with flash and fill flash he is noted for. “Unbelievable Acres” is unlike anything you have ever seen before. Literally a jungle, created by horticulturist Gene Joyner 30 years ago, flowering plants, spiders, owls and many other critters abound and are great subjects for flash and fill flash close-ups. A Walking Shoot of Little Havana (Miami) with Harrison Funk

No visa required as you explore Little Havana’s Calle Ocho with noted photographer Harrison Funk. Walk through this world within a city beginning with a Café Cubano. Shoot expert cigar rollers in a cigar factory, photograph the community domino players, enter “mercados” and explore religious symbols in the local “botanicas”.

Beautiful Butterfly World Close-Up with Rick Sammon

Come away with some great close-up pictures, and have fun too, by joining close-up photography expert Rick Sammon at South Florida’s famous Butterfly World as he shares the techniques he used in his best-selling book: Flying Flowers, The Beauty of the Butterfly. Sammon will discuss the benefits of using a true macro lens and a ringlight.

Kevin, a recognized leader in commercial digital photography will show you how to shoot compelling nudes in a tropical Florida setting. His book "Photoshop CS: the Art of Photographing Women" has been receiving rave reviews. You will come away with beautiful images.
